Late Blooming Love

The name Late Blooming Love holds a double meaning close to my heart.  It speaks to my return to a beloved childhood hobby - pressing the delicate Love in a Mist flower - and to the most beautiful late-in-life surprise of all: finding my husband and falling in love when I least expected it.

Every flower is grown, harvested, and pressed right here in my own garden.  Each leather jacket and vest is entirely one of a kind - no two are ever alike.  What I create exists nowhere else. This is a rare and singular craft, made with intention, patience, and love.

My Creations

Every piece begins with a vintage leather jacket or vest, carefully selected as the canvas for an entirely handcrafted work of art. Using flowers grown and pressed right in my own garden - pansies, Love in a Mist, daisies, Queen Anne's lace, larkspur, and roses, along with lush greenery - each design is composed by hand, one bloom at a time.

No two pieces are ever the same.

Besides jackets and vests, I also offer accessories including necklaces and belts, each carrying that same signature botanical beauty.

About Beth

Suddenly, I found myself with infinite free time. As a retired teacher, I wanted to maintain an active life, so I embraced my favorite hobby from childhood - one I had shared with my grandmother. Together, we grew and pressed flowers, using them to create cards and framed pictures.  Our flower of choice was Love in a Mist, a bloom as enchanting as its name suggests. Nestled within a delicate, lacy ring of multifid bracts, the flower is held in what can only be described as a lover's grip - a perfect metaphor for the care that goes into every piece I create.

I have since taken the art of flower pressing one step further. What began as a cherished childhood pastime has blossomed into something truly unique: one-of-a-kind pressed flower leather jackets and vests, each one a wearable work of art.
